Base Growth: Base’s TVL recently passed the $2B mark and the chain currently ranks third for most daily active users.

Having Jesse helm Coinbase Wallet is a natural synergy given the consumer and onboarding focus of both Base and Coinbase wallet, which now allows users to secure their wallet with passkeys, biometrics, and spend directly from their Coinbase accounts via smart wallets. With Base activity surging, all efforts to integrate onchain access into Coinbase’s main product suite will likely pay dividends.
